Bellrock Acquires Technical Services Firm Martech

Two men shaking hands in a boardroom Bellrock Property & Facilities Management Ltd have announced the acquisition of Martech Technical Services Ltd. Martech is located in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, and assists and advises clients and professional specifiers in the safety, testing, and repair of external structure and fabric.

Martech Technical Services Ltd will sit within Bellrock Group’s Technical & Real Estate Services under the leadership of Neil Triggs, Managing Director for the division. The addition will complement Bellrock’s technical consulting by adding further depth of capability and service offerings covering external fabric survey, inspection, testing and repair. Their core business activities comprise of the inspection and safety of structural concrete and external building cladding fabric (high rise), including concrete, brickwork, and similar composite building materials.

Roel van Es, Martech Technical Services Managing Director commented: “It’s been a journey to arrive at where we are today!

“I started what is now Martech, on my own, with a fixed idea of providing quite specialist sub-consultancy services, initially as a business within a business. Martech has grown over the ensuing 32 years into the respected entity that it is today, the last 16 of which as a privately owned company.

“My exit strategy, as I myself near retirement age, has always been to ensure that the brand can continue to grow, with all the very long-serving senior staff being in a position to enable this. The opportunity for the company to join the Technical and Real Estate division of the Bellrock Group is the perfect vehicle to further the Martech story.”

Roel will remain with the company as a part-time consultant for the near foreseeable future.

Neil Triggs, MD Technical & Real Estate Services said: “I’m delighted to welcome Martech into our Technical & Real Estate Division, where they will provide specialist and value-add services. With current legislation very much focused on the Building Safety Act and works required across high-rise buildings over the next 12 months and beyond, Martech’s services will be in high demand. As Roel steps down as MD but continues to support the business in a consultancy role, I look forward to working with Jerry Nichols (as new MD) and Amanda Redhead on the client and operations side, as well as the survey and engineering teams, headed up by Andy Tuson, Mark Heales, and Graham Duncan. Martech’s services will support our division in addressing ever more complex and integrated solutions required by our clients.”
