Paving The Way For Women To Break Boundaries In The Real Estate Industry

Diana Nicolaescu, Head of Property Management at Fortem Property Fortem Property was founded in 2021 by merging two already successful real estate businesses – DCBM and Fortem Property Management. Both companies provided different things to the market so today they unite as one strong, multi-disciplinary service. Here’s why they are leading the way for women to break boundaries in the real estate world…

After years of providing tailored support services for their own clients, Darren Bennett, one of the co-founders of Fortem Property, spotted an opportunity and a gap in the market to create a bespoke real estate consultancy; a business with a clear and genuine focus on meeting the individual needs of each customer. This is what sets the bar high for Fortem Property and with the highly qualified not male-dominated team – the future for real estate is carved.

Diana Nicolaescu, Head of Property Management and Business Partner at Fortem Property is driving higher professional standards forward and is hoping to put the spotlight on women in the industry moving forwards. Diana hopes to nurture and attract new talent; a younger, more diverse blend of property professionals into the industry.

According to PwC and Real Estate Balance there are just 30% of senior management positions in real estate occupied by women. This is a very poor percentage, and things desperately need to change. Fortem Property wants to give that confidence and courage to women, and help to get young, talented, and inspirational women to the top of that real estate ladder.

Diana Nicolaescu, Head of Property Management at Fortem Property commented: “I believe better housing and higher professional standards undoubtedly change lives, so I’m truly and genuinely hopeful about this. That’s why I aim to work very, very hard to bring passionate new people through the ranks. Also, in a predominantly male industry, I believe women have certain skills and qualities that cannot be overlooked and should be encouraged. I will aim to be that inspiration and encouragement”.
