Agents of Change: IWFM Conference To Major On Profession's Role In An Ethical, Sustainable Future

IWFM logo The IWFM Conference is back with a new venue, a brand‑new host, and an outstandingly talented line up.

Taking place on Wednesday 8th June at 30 Euston Square, London, NW1 2FB, the programme promises to leave delegates inspired to be their own ‘agent of change’ – the theme for this year’s event.

The workplace and facilities professional and the key part they can play in creating a sustainable future has been at the forefront of IWFM’s thinking when curating the 2022 event.

IWFM Chief Executive Linda Hausmanis commented: “The space, technology and culture of workplaces is rapidly evolving. Workplace and facilities managers have a major stake in how that happens and they have the agency to lead it in their organisations.

“Let’s get back together, enjoy this incredible line up, network face-to-face again, share stories and focus on FM’s role in creating an ethical, fair and sustainable future.”

In a change-charged agenda, renowned thought leaders will offer a future-focused take on the future of work, technology and innovation, and wellbeing. Keynotes will be complimented by practitioner-led sessions, weaving their ideas into real life and practical takeaways.

Innovator, engineer, inspirational leader and Conference host Yewande Akinola MBE will open the discussion with her reflections on being an agent of change; and she’ll keep the conversation and ideas flowing throughout the day, culminating in a keynote on wellbeing from the inimitable Ruby Wax OBE, actor, writer and mental health campaigner.

Author, commentator and blogger Christine Armstrong will discuss the future of work – a subject that has never been more topical. After the biggest workplace shift in over a century, how can people and organisations thrive and grow in this new paradigm?

On the topic of risk and decision making for leadership, delegates will benefit from the expertise of Professor Kevin Fong OBE, consultant in anaesthesia at University College Hospital and a specialist in risk, decision making and innovation.

Lastly, what is workplace and facilities management’s role in creating effective, sustainable workplace change? Futurist Matt O’Neill will pose that very question in an interactive session, so delegates should bring their thinking caps!

Plus, there are breakout sessions, exhibition stands and networking opportunities on the beautiful rooftop terrace.
